Leap Motion - TextExpander - Anonymous Torrenting - Top 50 Gadgets of 2013

This month Bruce Mittelman will give a demonstration of the just released Leap Motion Controller which allows you to intereact with your computer in a whole new way. The Leap Motion senses and translates hand motion and fingure gestures allowing you to point, reach, grab, select, and move objects on your computer screen. From browsing the web, flipping through photos, painting with your fingertips, and picking and strumming a guitar, the Leap Motion opens a whole new realm of possiblities.

Next, Scott Alenick will show TextExpander, the on-the-fly typing accelerator that enables you to save time and keystrokes. Textexpander allows you to define abbreviations called snippets for frequently used text strings and images. When the snippet is typed it is automatically expanded to the full text string. From standard greetings, phrases, boilerplate paragraphs, often used email responses, and signatures, TextExpander can save you time and increase your productivity.

Next, Bob Helmond will be giving the second part of his Anonymous Torrentingpresentation. Bob will teach you how to stay safe and secure when downloading torrents using Transmission, Hidemyass web proxy, and other services.

Finally, Louis Perez returns with another installment of his ongoing “Magical Mystery Tour of the Web” where he presents a collection of interesting and informative web sites dedicated to a common topic. This month’s tour will focus on the “Top 50 Gadgets of 2013 (Part 1)”.

Hello good MAC peoples! I am actually looking to possibly get a contact email address for Bruce Mittleman for a childhood friend of mine who knew Bruce well back in the late 90s or so. Or maybe someone can pass along my friend's phone number with a message for Bruce?
