Samer Raphael presents: BCS Development in the Real World

SharePoint provides for rapid development of external data and allows you to apply security and search on your external data. It also provides the capability to build very powerful and very rich custom user experiences for your external data. Implementing these solutions to different environments and making your application production ready presents some challenges that are not well documented. I will go through the process of making an external data solution from beginning to end and show you techniques that will make your solution more stable and production ready.

Our speaker:

Samer Raphael, MCAD, MCTS, is a Senior Consultant with Neudesic LLC. He is a SharePoint Architect with 15 years’ experience in software development, 7 of which are in SharePoint and IT Consulting. He has specific expertise in designing and developing BCS, Content Management, and Workflows solutions.

In his previous life, he was a Wireless Engineer and worked on Telephone, Radio, and Avionic systems for large telecommunications and consulting firms and for the US Air Force. Good topic and good coverage of the subject, plus if you asked a question, you got a ball that lights up when it bounces! Great way to keep the audience engaged.
