What we're about

NJveg is an all-volunteer non-profit, 501(c)(3) corporation, initially focusing on central New Jersey. Our mission:
- Advocacy: educating the public on the benefits of a plant-based diet via free literature, speakers, and more; and providing support to those in transition
- Social: providing opportunities to volunteer, share meals, and join in other activities

NJveg events include educational outreach; vegan potlucks, restaurant meetups, and catered gourmet vegan meals; volunteer days at animal sanctuaries; and more! Everyone is welcome at NJveg events: vegan, vegetarian, or veg-curious! Our events are open to the public, except when noted as members only.

NJveg info is available at https://NJveg.org . We're on Facebook (we have both a page & group), Instagram, and Twitter. You can also sign up for our mailing list at http://eepurl.com/dwk3hH and join as an NJveg member at https://njveg.org/membership/

We’re looking for venues for educational outreach, hosting potlucks, speakers, and more. Know of a suitable location anywhere in central NJ – perhaps your community center or place of worship – that is free or low-cost for non-profits? Please let us know!

Btw, if you're interested in playing board and party games with other vegans, this Meetup group may be for you: https://www.meetup.com/Central-Jersey-Vegan-Game-Get-Togethers/ There's also a group for those on the SW reaches of the area: https://www.meetup.com/Northern-Burlington-County-NJ-Vegans/

Vegan Buffet, Meeting, and Fundraiser

The Moth Coffeehouse

Join NJveg for our first (and brief!) annual meeting. This will be a chance for us to share our ideas and visions for NJveg’s continued success in promoting a vegan lifestyle. For each ticket sold, $5 will be donated to Skylands Animal Sanctuary & Rescue! - menu includes dips, bruschetta, salad, mac & cheese (gf), beet burger sliders, Italian wedding cake, peanut butter fudge, coffee, and iced tea - free vegetarian cookbooks (not completely vegan but with many vegan recipes) for at least the first 20 members purchasing tickets - a contest (TBD) and door prizes - an opportunity for you to participate in determining future NJveg activities - a vote on NJveg trustees and officers and on which animal sanctuaries or rescues for which to raise money Don’t worry, this won’t be one of those long, boring meetings! And did we mention a vegan buffet? *** Tickets must be purchased by 2/25 and will not be sold at the door.
