- What kind of Event is this? -

Meet at the meetup point or at the startingpoint - and after this do a 10 KM hike together in one of the best area's to do so!

- Meetup Point / Starting Point? -

The Meetup Point is inside the central station of Amsterdam. People can meet in here at 11:45 AM in front of starbucks.

The attendees to the event that meetup here, can the buss to Landsmeer together. You need to take buss 125. In Landsmeer, please leave the buss at busstop Raadhuisstraat. That's very close to Driesprong. Driesprong is the startingpoint of this hike. Feel free to go to the startingpoint straight away if this is more convinient for you. At the startingpoint, please ask for the international table.

Inside Landsmeer, please go to De Driesprong and stay there at least untill 1PM. After asking them, the staff can explain to you how to walk to Twiskemeer.

- The Route in Twiskemeer -

Just walkabout for an hour and after that try to find the way back to De Driesprong. Or set up a 10KM hike together. FYI: Twiskemeer has a lof of boards that show where the walkingpaths are and show the way to the exits.

Hi all, thanks to all that came! Based on the pictures it looks like people had a good time! The Hikes will go on also now it´s getting chilly outside. But Only when the weateher is nice! That´s any kind of weather as long as there is little wind only and no or close to no rain )( BTW around 15 people didn´t show up.. Even though sometimes you might just forget to sign off, p l e a s e pay more attention next time, no shows keep on causing small and less small inconviences..... )

A former member Shaky weatherforecast, a big chance on a tiny bit of rain. Let's see what it looks like on Friday. If it will be a little bit better the walk will take place, if it will be worse it will be postponed.

By the way everyone, my vote is to follow one of the labelled routes rather than wandering around without a plan

Well, there are labelled routes visible when you enter the twiskemeer. The people present can pick one of the routes or do a walkabout. The idea is that the group decides this on the day itselve. Both labelled routes and just walkabout have nice things about it so the group can decide. ( Meaning: the organizer leaves this up to the group )

The announcement EMail said sept 23, the email in which the date was changed says sept 30, but was only sent to the ones that signed up for sept 23. The event is on sept 30, unless the weather is bad, which is a say 1 to 5 chance at the highest in late september.... :) Having this said: sorry for any possible inconviences.
