The ruins of Giusewa Pueblo and San José de los Jémez Mission Church will be decorated with hundreds of traditional luminarias / farolitos. The evening’s program will include traditional Native American flute music and Jémez Pueblo dancers’ performance between two illuminating bon-fires. Enjoy free horse-drawn wagon rides from Jémez Springs Park to the Monument and holiday refreshments.
This is an awesome opportunity for night photography. Bring your camera and tripod. May also want to bring a folding chair however I didn't use mine last year. There will be lots of photographers as well as other visitors at this event so we will try to car pool as much at possible as parking can be difficult.
Depending on the weather, it could be snow and cold so consider bring something warm to drink and wear warm clothing as we will be outside for a few hours.
CAMERAS ARE ALLOWED. VENDORS WILL HAVE SNACKS BUT NOT MEALS.
