Modern Web Development & Load Testing As Part Of Your Release Cycle

We are proud to have Einar Ingebrigtsen and Karoline Klever, both from Microsoft, visiting us and sharing their experiences on web development and automated load testing.

Modern Web Development by Einar Ingebrigtsen

Einar will walkthrough how modern Web development is today. With the release of .NET Core and ASP.NET Core on top, how does this fit into the mix of Gulp, Grunt, Bower, NPM, JSPM, Babel and all.

Einar works as a Principal Technical Evangelist with focus on technical advisory for ISVs and how they can get the most out of Azure. Throughout the last 20 years, Einar have enjoyed working across the board with low-level nitty gritty development ranging to high level architecture – preferably at the same time. He believes backend, frontend and all in between is part of a fun fulfilled day – sprinkled with focus on code quality and getting the architecture just right.

Load Testing As Part Of Your Release Pipeline by Karoline Klever

It doesn't matter how great the rest of your application is: If the performance isn't good enough, your users will find the next best option out there. Karoline will take Einars application and show you how can configure an automated build and release pipeline in Visual Studio Team Services, with load testing to ensure the performance is top-notch.

Karoline is the Visual Studio product manager at Microsoft Norway, focusing on how developers can improve their software delivery process by using the various Visual Studio products in their application lifecycle. Having previously worked as a .NET developer and consultant, she has developed a passion for how developers work, the tools they use and why they make the choices they do. She continuously challenges herself and loves to share her knowledge by blogging and speaking at user groups and conferences.

Great topics, very interesting. Many thanks to the organizers and to Einar and Karoline. Did the talks end up getting recorded?

We did ensure that the recording setup was up and running before the session started. So unless we experienced any technical problems during the talks, the videos should hopefully be published later this week.
