Favorite genres are short stories, southern fiction, memoirs, gothic horror, mystery and erotica (haha!). Favorite authors are John Biguenet, Ann Patchett, Chris Bohjalian, Neil Gaiman, Joe Hill, Jhumpa Lahiri, Tana French, Benjamin Black, Andrew Davidson, Joyce Carol Oates, David Sedaris, Augusten Burroughs, Celia Riverbank, Paulo Coelho, Anne Rice, and numerous others that laden my bookshelves. Favorite beverages include gin and tonic, sazeracs and absinthe (and other vintage and classic cocktails); priorat, pinot noir, viognier; wheat beers, lagers and stouts.
The opportunity to discuss a book is a chance to share a story and to learn from others' perceptions and perspective on that story and author. And if you add a little alcohol, you may find that the book was better than you thought!

Booze and books! Not since the government created the ATF has there been a better combo!! But seriously, I am a new resident of New Orleans, though I've long been under her sway. I am looking forward to encounters with good people and great stories.
