  • Highly recommended for inexperienced woodworkers with or without their safety sign-off!! We have 3 supervised woodshop sessions per week. They are all free. Please add this stage of learning to keep our yourself and the equipment safe. As an inexperienced person in the woodshop, you'll find these session is a great way to get to know the more experienced folks and connect in with the community.

No experience necessary, just a commitment to safety.

Supervised practice is a time-honored tradition and is a sound way to stay safe while improving your tool skills with continued hands-on practice.

--> non-members who come are strongly encouraged to donate $5 to Nova Labs (at the front desk or the tip jar) if you benefit from the visit.

Ages: Kids under 16 are welcome but must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. There are many tools in the Green Bay that are fine for school and hobby projects such as derby cars, birdhouses, boats, doll houses, etc.

    Prerequisite: Green Safety Orientation

NOTE: Attending these meetups is not a substitute for required sign-offs and tool safety classes. If you have experience in the shop, that is useful but not sufficient. To use shop tools independently, you need to be an attendee or member with documented safety sign-off for the relevant tools.

-->Please arrive well before 5pm to allow time to get stuff done.

--> non-members who come are strongly encouraged to donate $5 to Nova Labs (at the front desk or the tip jar) if you benefit from the visit.
