You can make beautiful and practical things from wood in a very small space for not much money. I know it because many generations of our ancestors did exactly that. This series will cover building some shop furniture, using and maintaining hand tools, and working alone in a small space. With these skills and some inexpensive tools, you can make small cabinets, household goods, bird houses, whatever. The design ideal is a tiny woodshop that stows in a 2' x 3' corner and expands to a 6' x 8' work area. We will also look at Even Tinier Woodshops.
The preview is free. The series will be most Sundays from 1:00 to 4:00 for the summer and fall. You can attend a few sessions or many sessions. Price for adults is $40 per session, buy 3 get 1 free. No prerequisites; Green Orientation is highly recommended.
Parent-child pairs are welcome for a single registration. The child must be accompanied by a parent or guardian 100% of the time while in the shop.
