PiCloud is awesome. A single run of a cpu-intensive function is about the same speed as my local machine. The beauty of it is you can tell it to map 100 at the same time.

Gets expensive quickly, but well worth it for the mere simplicity.

I've been looking around at different Python focused cloud platforms and
ran into PiCloud. It looks more like something a scientific application
could utilize to run jobs, as opposed to a framework you can use for
application deployment (like cloudfoundry).

Has anyone here heard of PiCloud before? I have a few small stock
applications that I thought might be able to take advantage of this for
quant analysis.
