Details

Metro’s Native Plant Center is dedicated to propagating and supplying native plants that are used in restoring wetlands, oak woodlands, and other habitats in the Portland metro area. Native plants provide a vital source of food and shelter for fish and wildlife. At this open house, you’ll be able to visit our plant nursery and see dozens of native plant species in many stages of growth, and participate in hands-on experiences with native plants. You can learn how the native seeds and bulbs we collect are grown into plants that are used in restoration efforts, and find out how volunteers support our efforts. Registration for this event is optional, but encouraged, as it will help us anticipate attendance.

This event is featured as part of Native Plant Month (https://npmpdx.org).
