This week, we're going to take a deep dive into how a desktop Linux OS functions. We'll do so by installing Arch Linux, but we will be explaining what every single step actually does or means for the system.

Software requirements:
- VirtualBox 6: https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads
- Our customised Arch Linux ISO: https://github.com/nushackers/p-ht1910w09/releases/download/v0/archlinux-ht1910w09-2019.10.14-x86_64.iso

If you have run a VM in VirtualBox on your PC, you should be fine. Otherwise, check out this guide: https://nushackers.github.io/p-ht1910w09/setup/

If there are any issues, please email us at coreteam [at] nushackers [dot] org.

There is no sign-up needed. Just RSVP to let us know you are coming. See you there!

This workshop is largely based on the Hacker Tools lecture series conducted in MIT. This week's topic is a special one by us, not part of the original series.
