NVC has brought me heartfelt community, the gift of self-compassion from which love for others can naturally arise, and a language that says to me, fundamentally, "We are innocent. We are beautiful. We are lovable as we are. So stop trying so damn hard."
I began studying NVC in 2005 when in law school, frustrated by the lack of opportunities for heartfelt connection in my everyday world, and seeking a language, friendships, and ultimately a community in which to experience more emotional openness and welcoming. Since then, I dove into several of the year-long programs, including CNPP (now BIP) 2008, Compassionate Leadership with Jim and Jori Manske 2010, and the NVC Mediation Program 2010 with John Kinyon and Ike Lasater. During the past two and a half years, I've offered many weekly NVC practice series, as well as mediation and couples coaching that are about combining realness and authenticity with (real) love, depth with laughter, and all in all, that are about cultivating an appreciation for the beauty that we are. In addition, I offer "Speak Your Heart" playshops, a forum in which to speak our deepest fears and insecurities, find the beauty therein, and discover that we are so (so) not alone.
Here to love.
