Neighbor and Knob Mountains

This is a strenuous 15-16 mile hike with 2,500-3,000 feet of climbing. Beautiful views. Moderate pace (2.5 mi/hr). We will start at Jeremy's Run Overlook (Mile 26.5), climb Neighbor Mountain, descend to Jeremy's Run, and climb back up to the top of Knob Mountain. We will return via the AT to the starting point. Prior experience on A-rated hikes is required. Bring good, broken in hiking boots, plenty of food and water, and appropriate layered clothing. Plan on returning late in the evening.

There will be a backup plan. POTUS is meeting Congressional leaders as I type so I am hopeful. Worst case we will do a separate, local, non-National Park hike nearby. Still meeting same place/time.
