Breakfast in Brooklyn

We will ride an early morning/midnight bus from Union Station reaching NYC in the morning. First will be a brisk walk along Brooklyn Bridge for breakfast. Returning, we will cover Wall Street and the newly opened Freedom Plaza. We will then proceed to cover the Highline Trail, and via Times Square, walk to Rockefeller Plaza to see the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree. Return will be by Amtrak, reaching DC late Saturday night. About nine miles of walking with stops for coffee, lunch, and other breaks as needed. Cost around $100 per person. Contact leaders Mike ([masked]) and Mano ([masked]) for details and to sign up. Contact early for better bus and train fares.

Thank you all for coming and being such great troopers. Seems to me that two nights of half sleep, the waiting, the delays, the cold, rain, sleet, snow, and howling wind added to the adventure. Hope to see you on an event very soon.

Folks that responded "yes" - you realize that you need to contact the leaders separately (e-mail), correct? That's how you will receive details about how to reserve bus/train tickets, where to meet, and so on. If you haven't done so already I suggest that you do it as soon as you can - the bus/train fares may go up if you wait. If you don't contact us separately we'll assume that you're not going.

Looking forward to this trip! Although I grew up in NYC I've never walked across the Brooklyn Bridge. So exciting!
