We will be traveling up the riparian Staunton River Trail to Bear Church Rock for a scenic view, then up Jones Mountain/Cat Knob Trail to Laurel Prong Trail and onward to Camp Rapidan, a historical site maintained by the Park Service. Camp Rapidan was the sylvan summer retreat of President Hoover, where we will take in the ambience and have lunch. Afterwards we will proceed up the Fork Mountain Trail and down the Staunton River trail back to our cars.
