Description: Enjoy a weekend of hiking in West Virginia....or not! On Saturday, 19 May, we will hike about 10 miles on the North Fork Trail, the highlight of which is a scramble to the top of Chimney Rock with its spectacular, commanding view of both the Monongahela and Shenandoah National Forests. It has been described by veteran hike leaders as one of the best views in the entire region. On Sunday, we will hike 8-10 miles in the Dolly Sod area, near the North Fork of Red Creek. Since the drive to the trail head takes 2 hours, we will meet at 0700 hrs on 19 May at the Centreville Commuter Lot. Hikers may choose to hike only on Saturday and return by carpool on Saturday night, or hike both days and plan to stay in WVA overnight. The hike leader plans to stay overnight at Yokum's Vacationland, 1-800-772-8342. Please note advance registration for the hike(s) is required by contacting the hike leader at 702-802-6426, or at Brotch@Aol.Com. Reservations for overnight accommodations are the responsibility of individual hikers.
