Board Games

The Gaming Goat

Ok, I don't do anything on Friday nights. Is that admitting too much? Board games at the Gaming Goat. I own a variety of board games - Azul, The Mind, Skull, Splendor, Pandemic and more. The Gaming Goat has a large library of games available. We are going to make this a weekly event. This event is also open to people outside of our group and will be posted to a Board Gaming group. Bottled drinks and snacks are available to purchase. You are allowed to order in/bring food with you. There is no fee but please support our venues. They ask that we park across the street in the lot next to the Dollar Tree. There are a lot of places nearby to get food.

Kayaking at Skokie Lagoon and Lunch

Chicago River Canoe and Kayak

This is a great place for inexperienced kayakers - no waves, little current. They rent single and double kayaks by the hour. They provide lifevests. $20/hr for a single $25/hr for a double. We will do just one hour. Bring sunscreen, plan on getting a little wet, water shoes are a good choice. Sun hat. Bring a lunch and we will picnic afterwards.

Tai Chi Open House

Taoist Tai Chi

If you have ever thought of learning about Tai Chi, here is a chance for you to visit the Taoist Tai Chi Society. This is a one hour Open House to see the form demonstrated and witness the social and health benefits of the art. I am an active member of the organization and would like others to enjoy tai chi with me. BeinMeSaubi Venezuelan Restaurant is next door, so after the Open House, we can have lunch.
