Let's head up to Mt Hood on Saturday and spend the night in the Tyee Lodge, returning Sunday. There are a lot of snowshoe trails near by and a fabulous sledding hill. Fees are $25 for the lodge, including breakfast and dinner.
Please email me if you would like to attend so we can discuss logistics. Needed- someone willing to drive with snow tires and chains.
Please bring: $25 cash or check for lodge fees, $11 cash for carpool driver and contribution to snow pass. Sleeping bag, extra layers, extra socks and gloves, snowshoes or cross country skis, gators, extra snacks/special food, water/water bottle, book. Always good to have the 10 essentials. Also, you can sleep inside the lodge or try out your winter gear outisde and feel free to come in if not warm enough!
The picture above is not Tyee, but it looks similar! The Tyee lodge is about .25 miles from the turn off to Timberline. It is owned and maintained by the Oregon Trails Club. It is a great location to spend a lot of time outdoors and provides a beautiful place to get insde and get warm.
