    Thanks Nathan. Guess I didn't want to call them glacier lilies because of the lack of glaciers in the area.

    Ha! Now, there's a conundrum. The funny thing is, I've been around loads of glaciers and never seen them there. Wikipedia does acknowledge that they're sometimes called yellow avalanche lilies, so maybe that's where you got the name. They do look awfully similar to their namesake in all but the color.
