Welcome to The NW San Antonio Playgroup!


How to Join:

This group is for women only and the children they care for.

If you are interested in joining the NW San Antonio Playgroup, click the "Join Us!" button then fill out the entire profile and attach a recent picture of yourself. Please use a recent picture of yourself that is well lit that also shows your face clearly that will help our members recognize you, especially at public events. Profile pictures are used to help our members find each other at our meetups. Do not use a picture that has anything covering your face/eyes, such as, but not limited to, sunglasses or masks.

All new members must attend at least one event during their initial two-week free membership trial. Payment is due within 14 days of joining.

Our group has a cap of 50 members. If we are at capacity, you may request to be placed on a wait list.

New members must have at least one child of age 5 or younger.

Participation Requirements:
In order to help build great friendships and to remain a member of our playgroup, you are required to attend a meetup at least twice per month, and become an active member. (Moms with newborns: email organizers with participation return date.) If you fail to meet the attendance requirements you may be removed from the group.

We also ask that everyone help with hosting or co-hosting a meetup event (either a play date or a mom's night out event) at least once every four months; you may host a meetup event in your home, co-host with another mom in her home, or host an activity or outing at a public location such as at a park. If you fail to meet the hosting requirements you may be removed from the group.

The more active you are the more you will get out of your experience with our playgroup. You'll meet lots of great families. It's well worth it for you and your child(ren). You will quickly realize how warm and friendly all of our members really are.

When you RSVP for a meetup event, you are certain that you do plan on attending and that you will be there at the scheduled time.

Please be sure to check and update your RSVP at least 24 hours prior to your meetup event as well as the morning of the event. Also, if someone has changed her RSVP, and you are on the waiting list, you may have been moved to YES

If you are not able to keep up with your "wait list" status, please cancel your RSVP; otherwise you may miss a notification if you are bumped to a "yes," which will lead to you being a "no-show" and will also not allow another member who is able to fill the spot to attend the meetup event.

If you need to cancel your RSVP, please change your RSVP to NO on the Meetup site or in the Meetup phone app and notify the hostess in a timely manner as a courtesy.

Please be on time! If you are going to be LATER than 15 minutes, please notify the hostess as a courtesy.

Members with two or more no-shows are subject to removal from the group. New members with one or more no-shows during their first three months of membership are subject to removal from the group. As a courtesy to our group's members please avoid no-shows entirely.

If you find that you regularly RSVP "Yes" and end up changing to "No," we ask that you REFRAIN from RSVPing UNTIL you are certain that you do plan on attending. Be a member of our group who hardly ever cancels and NOT someone who does often cancel regardless of the reasons. Members with excessive cancellations will be removed from our playgroup.

Please DO NOT come to a meetup event if you or your child(ren) is sick. If you or your child(ren) is on antibiotics, we ask that you wait at least 48 hours before returning to meetup events.

Membership Dues:
We charge members $12 non-refundable membership annual dues. Membership dues are used to pay for the cost of our website and to help pay for playgroup party expenses/supplies.

Members are responsible for paying their $12 membership dues within 14 days of joining and each year thereafter. Members who do not pay or do not make arrangements to pay will be removed.

Our meetups and our message boards should be a positive and respectful place for all members, adults and children.

Violation of any policy is subject to removal from our playgroup. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Polices subject to change at any time.
