RSVP Types and Rules

The type of meetups we put together range, and as a result so does how you RSVP.

  • Plain yes or no RSVP’s don’t require money from you up front but you’ll pay for your share at the meet up. Two meetup type examples that fall within this category are karaoke and Hapy Hour. The three-strike no-show policy applies to this RSVP type.
  • Some of our meetups - particularly our movie ones – require you to pre-pay. Your money will not be refunded unless the meet up is cancelled or rescheduled. The three-strike no-show policy applies to this RSVP type.
  • Meetups that require the organizer to provide his/her credit card to make a reservation will be explicitly stated on the meetup’s description page. Those who RSVP yes but fail to attend these meetups are automatically removed from the group. If you are not able to make a meetup employing this RSVP policy and the RSVP deadline has passed, it is your responsibility to find a replacement. Email someone on the Waiting List and ask if s/he is available to take your space, then email your organizer of the change so we know who to hold accountable.

We know things come up and might prevent you from attending a meetup. But always remember, that when you RSVP yes to any meetup and fail to show, you’re preventing a fellow member from joining the fun. So please be considerate of others and update your RSVP accordingly and in a timely manner.
