Manic Monday Petitioning Part IV

This will be our fourth time out to Bryant Park during the waiting time before the Monday night movie and we need all the help we can get procuring signatures from these sitting ducks! I went out last week and got over 100 signatures all by myself! If we get enough people to cover the whole park we can easily get 300+ signatures! This will be one of our last chances to get signatures, it is time to make the BIG PUSH TO THE FINISH LINE! Right now we are short of our goal, who is going to to step up for the party?!! Who is with me?! Lets meet at the Corner of 42nd and 6th adjacent to the park. If you have any questions or need more info email me at [masked] or call me on my cell[masked]-2646.

Chris, that's most commendable to get 100 signatures by yourself. But how long did it take you? Venues may have high densities of people, but low numbers of people who will sign. You'll then get low sigs per hour numbers. Twenty sigs per hour is generally about par, which was what I got when I petitioned with you at BP on July 28. (In about 1-3/4 hours, I got 34 sigs, but two out-of-towners signed, so I netted 32. That was a far cry from the boatloads you got. Perhaps I was unlucky that day, or the stars weren't aligned. I will try again tonight. Let's see if I can procure 100 sigs by myself, as you did. I just hope I won't need 5 hours to do this.

Hey Alton! It took me about 2.5 hours. The time before I got 80 in about the same amount of time. I hope you have better luck this time! I am excited that you are going! See you there.

Hi Chris, I'm glad you're excited that I will attend. Let's see. 100 sigs in 2.5 hours meant you averaged 40 sig per hour, twice my par. I had procured 29 sigs earlier today. When we compare totals later, I don't suppose I could add those 29 sigs to my total, could I? No? Just a thought. See you later.

This is our last opportunity for this event! Come out and help us blanket the park with canvassers!

Actually, we have one more opportunity on August 18, when the last movie, the overrated "The Shining," is shown. (See: http://www.bryantpark...). Of course someone must hand-deliver all the signatures procured then to Mark Axinn by noon, the next day. Who wants to petition then? And who wants to play a FedEx employee on August 19?

Brian, I must retract my previous statement. We don't an opportunity at BP on August 18 because Mark must have all our completed sheets in his office by 12:00, Noon, Monday 18, 2014. Sorry about my error.
