988 Bedford Rd,, pleasantville, NY
Moderate to Fast. This hike occurs every week on Friday. We move at a fairly brisk pace but do stop halfway for a water break and views.
***Bring headlamp or flashlight with good beam for the last 30 minutes of the hike when it starts to get dark.***
Distance/Terrain: ~ 4.5 miles in the trails of the Buttermilk Hill area of Rockefeller including Lucy's Loop, pastures, and Laurance's Ridge.
For those wanting more challenge, I encourage you to bring along 1 - 4 pound hand weights to use while walking. I'll also show some optional arm exercises that can be done with or without the weights that will provide extra cardio as well as arm toning while we move.

If the weather looks to be a problem, I will have a revised post up by 2:45 pm.
Directions: Meet at Rockefeller Park Buttermilk Hill section (North entrance) parking lot: On 117 (Bedford Rd), close to 9A and Taconic Parkway intersection with 117. If coming west on 117, make a left just after the two large power line towers that are on your right. It's a large lot with tree-lined driveway immediately next to the smaller North County Trail bike path lot. There is a brown Park sign next to this North entrance. See map with red arrow below.
Overall - For the directionally-challenged, about a minute away from Pace University, on 117.
