What we're about

~ Escape the Ordinary ~

Are you tired of having nothing fun to do? Or have no interestingly engaging friends to hang out with? Are you either working that same 9-5 and never taking time to smell the roses? Or just sitting at home on a perfectly good Friday night alone knowing perfectly well you should be out partaking in all life has to offer?

Or is it the other way around, are you always on the go, always visiting cultural exhibits, participating in grass roots events and/or checking items off your ever growing "bucket list", but you wish could find your niche, a savvy adventurous open-minded welcoming group of people who share your interests?

Well either way, you’ve come to the right place.

OUR EVENTS: Unlike other groups, we do not do the same tiresome events over and over and over, week after week. Here at NY Wanna Do, we strive to make the most of what this great city has to offer by seeking out a diverse assortment of NEW and FUN events and activities, be it blazing a new hiking trail, or attending a concert or Broadway show, trying out a new restaurant, visiting museums, see the latest movie blockbuster, learn a new skill, taking day trips out of the city, and so much, much more!

All our events are typically casual and low key and held throughout the five boroughs of New York City and beyond, all reachable by public transportation!

OUR MEMBERS: All are welcome regardless of age, race or creed as long. As long as you are open to adventures, possess a “wanna do” spirit, maintain a positive attitude and a willingness to do new things ... we want to meet you!

****SLACKERS, COUCH POTATOES, SERIAL LURKERS ... NEED NOT JOIN*******

LIABILITY WAIVER: We are not a commercial, profit-making group, nor are we a professionally guided group. You participate in our events at your own risks. Our main goal is to have fun while we are outside not to look after your safety. You have to do that for yourself. Upon signing up for any of our events, you agree that you are solely responsible for your own preparedness and well-being and you agree you will hold no one else liable in case of injury or mishap. You agree not to hold any event host or any other group members responsible for any injuries, mishaps or any other situation that may arise.
