Cassandra as Memcache Usecase

Cassandra is designed for many types of workloads. With a highly optimizes read and write path and multiple options for caching, it could be used in many cases as a distributed persistent memcache layer. This presentation explores this use case.

Synchronous Trigger Deep Dive

Triggers are a feature scheduled to be included in Cassandra 0.8. Triggers allow Cassandra to take follow up action as part of an insert operation. This presentation will take a deep dive into the history, design, and usage of this feature.
