Summer is here, weather has been wonderful. So let's get out and have some wonderful fun.
Lets get together for an afternoon of free kayaking on the Hudson.
Pier 40 is located at the end of West Houston Street on the Hudson River offer free kayaking. Bring swim suit (or shorts and a T-shirt), something to drink, change of clothes and a lock. Dressing rooms available.
Enjoy breathtaking views of NYC while socializing on the water. Open to anyone who is over 18, knows how to swim and is interested in kayaking, whether first timer or advanced paddler.

Date: I'll leave on members to decide. Must be a Saturday or a Sunday.
Once we have a date, i'll call the place and blocl kayaks for the members.
Q: Who can participate?
A: Anyone who knows how to swim and is over 18
Q: What to bring for kayaking?
A: A lock, swimsuit (or shorts and T-shirt) and a change of clothes (locker, outdoor shower and dressing rooms available)
Q: Are kayaks, paddles and life jackets provided?
A: Yes, and it is absolutely free!
Q: How many kayaks are available?
A: There are enough kayaks (singles and doubles) to handle around 55 people out on the water at a time.
Q: Where will we be kayaking?
A: We'll be staying in the embayment on the south side of Pier 40. This is one of the nicest spots along the Hudson and affords great views of the Statute of Liberty, as well as Manhattan and Jersey City.
Q: How long do we kayak?
A: You can kayak as long as you want, most people stay out one or two hours. It's ok to come a bit early or a bit late.
Q: What is the closest subway stop to Pier 40?
A: Houston Street on the 1 train. Spring Street stop on A, C and E also works.
