A Deep Dive into Monitoring with Skyline

Abe Stanway, data engineer at Etsy, will talk about Skyline, a real-time anomaly detection tool.

About Skyline:

We believe in sprinkling our entire stack with magical monitoring-dust, making sure we've got a metric for every single moving part in our infrastructure. To deal with the resulting deluge of timeseries, we built Skyline - a real-time anomaly detection tool. In this talk, we will go over Skyline's architecture and design, and we'll take a deep dive into the algorithms that power it.

About the speaker

Abe is a data engineer at Etsy, and he is the author of Skyline. His hobby is pronouncing "gif" correctly.  Find him on Twitter at @abestanway.

This was really interesting. I do wish that there was more discussing of Occulus, especially to know whether it can be used separately from skyline.
