This is a group for all of us who work longer than 9 to 5 and have trouble making the "normal" happy hour during the week; young professionals who want to meet new people and break up the week with a fun happy hour.
We will be scheduling both large and small events... so everyone can mingle as well as get to know each other in smaller groups. No name tags, no ice breakers, no gimmicks. Real people. Cold drinks.
Hope to meet up and have a beer!
The not-so-fine print:
- Happy hours will start no earlier than 6:30.
- Looking to keep things fun and friendly, so please don't go overboard on the drinking! This is about meeting new people, not getting sloppy.
- Feel free to suggest new venues
- Currently looking for people interested in being organizers to help run the group
Hi all. I wanted to see who would be interested in going out east on Long Island for wine tasting. This would be on a weekend, some time late summer or early fall. Hopefully we can get enough people to rent transportation out there at an affordable rate. RSVP (and comment) to let me know you are interested!
Hey hey. I wanted to see who would be interested in a special Friday night edition of happy hour. This way we don't all have to explain ourselves to our bosses on a weekday morning.
Comment or RSVP to let me know you are interested.
This will be in two or three weeks if we do it.
Hey all. I want to get the late happy hours going more often. I'm looking for anyone interested in helping out as an event lead. I can help you get started and it doesn't take too much effort to plan an event. The biggest commitment is showing up, welcoming people, and of course, drinking. I suppose the last one is optional, but highly encouraged.
Reach out if you are interested.
