Come visit our new Meetup group which will be holding meetings in person and online. This new group is perfect for the bereaved who want reassurance and the comfort of knowing their loved ones did not die, and that they are still with them and still love them. It is also a refuge for spiritual seekers who want to understand the continuity of consciousness and what it means in this life. It will particularly appeal to those who have a need for rational, informed and ethical understanding.
We will have a variety of meetings from:
• Message circles with Karen sharing messages from loved ones in spirit to people in the group
• Workshops to show you how to make direct communication with your loved ones yourselves (induced communication).
• Philosophy evenings to share and discuss metaphysical and existential issues
• Courses to heal your spirit and grow in life
• Courses to develop your intuition
• Courses of writing for healing and spiritual growth
Meetings are led by published author, speaker and international medium Karen Frances McCarthy MA CSNU.
As a child, she communicated with spirits. As an adult, her desire to be of service evolved into a passion for social justice and the pursuit of truth, which led her to a career as a political journalist and an embedded Iraq war correspondent. A tragic loss became the catalyst that brought her back to spirituality, particularly Eastern philosophy, and working with the mediumistic faculty she's had since childhood.
As an advocate of the ethical practice and healing potential of mediumship, she underwent years of intensive training at the world-renowned Arthur Findlay College in England (http://www.arthurfindlaycollege.org/) and holds three awards, Certificates of Recognition, in mediumship, spiritual healing and public speaking from its governing body, the Spiritualist National Union. (http://www.snu.org.uk/)To further understand the complexities of grief, she obtained a Diploma in Bereavement Counselling from the Institute of Counselling in Scotland. She studied at the Edgar Cayce Center (http://www.edgarcayce.org/)in Virginia and was a teacher and practitioner at its center in New York City for several years.
She is an exponent of writing for mindfulness and spiritual transformation, is an advocate for palliative and afterlife education and has a keen interest in metaphysics, physics and consciousness theory. She writes about spirituality and wellness for Salon, Huffington Post Religion, Beliefnet, among other publications. She has also written and produced documentaries, including producing Alchemy and The Crystal Cave with Deepak Chopra.
She is currently working on a new non-fiction book about science and religion and the search for truth and is preparing for a PhD in Religious Studies. Her memoir Till Death Don't Us Part will be released in 2019.
