This is a rare opportunity to be part of a free workshop help by a professional photographer in his own studio.

During the workshop you will learn how to use a variety of lights and light modifiers with a live model. The photographer, John Ricard, will talk about the process of building from a simple one light setup to a more complex multi light setup. He will also discuss how using multiple lights affects the posing of the model.

Attendance for this workshop is limited to 10, due to space limitations within the studio. I decided to charge a $6 reservation fee to discourage no shows for this event. If you RSVPed with yes and will not be able to attend, please change your RSVP and make the spot available to someone else. The reservation fee is payable through PayPal, but is non-refundable. There is no waiting list for this meetup, so please check in periodically if someone dropped out. We will not accept anyone that shows up on site and has not registered in advance.

The workshop starts at 12pm, rain or shine. We would appreciate if you could be there a few minutes early so we can start on time. The studio is located at 580 Eighth Avenue, 21st Floor between 38th and 39th Street.

In general, you would not need your camera, but feel free to bring it. John has only one request: PLEASE DO NOT TAKE PICTURES OF THE MODEL. Also, it won't hurt to bring a pen and notepad.

Here is a short video about the workshop and John.

If you have any questions, text me only before the day of the event. Please make sure you identify yourself in your message, so I know who your are. Please don't email me via the Meetup website shortly before or during the Meetup. I'm not constantly checking my emails. Thank you!

I hope to see guys soon.

Thank you, John, for this opportunity.
