** This important email is for all members of NYC Photographers and will be posted on the message board.**
There has been a dispute on the event page for our upcoming light painting workshop -- regarding Brooklyn’s request of not having his photo(s) taken. He has been teaching free workshops for the past two summers and so far, everyone who has attended has been nothing more but cooperative by following this simple rule.
We all have a right to voice our opinions. However, this kind of situation (where rude comments were posted on a public page for everyone to see) has happened once before and I will not allow anyone to disrespect Brooklyn, my devoted members or myself. This is not a political group; this is not a religious group; this is a PHOTOGRAPHY group!! We are all here to have fun and learn from one another, not belittle one another.
As mentioned on the event page - for whatever his reasons are, Brooklyn has asked not to take his photograph and he has the right to walk out if this rule has been broken. Please respect and honor this rule, as well as all the other rules posted on the event pages. If you do not agree with these rules and do not wish to attend, simply RSVP “no”, or do not RSVP at all.
Thank you to everyone for all of your support and understanding.
