This is an invitation to attend an expert-panel lecture at the CUNY Grad Center. A mere RSVP on this Meetup page does NOT guarantee entry into the event. You must register at the Eventbrite page, in order to reserve a spot.
This event will be SOLD OUT very quickly, so be sure to get your free ticket while the supplies last!
For these public events, here's the game plan: 1) coordinate a group seating in the auditorium before the lecture, to the extent practicable; and 2) after the lecture, go to a nearby restaurant for drinks and dinner to continue the discussions.
An excerpt of the event description from the organizers:
An expert panel delves into the classic debate between laissez-faire and interventionism, as it plays out in our nation’s politics. What is the proper relationship between liberalism and free markets? And in a democracy, who decides what to prioritize?
Paul Krugman, Nobel laureate, New York Times columnist, and distinguished professor at the GC;
Heather Boushey, executive director and chief economist, Washington Center for Equitable Growth; and
Richard Epstein, professor of law and director of the Classical Liberal Institute, NYU.
