With more data than we often know what to do with I am constantly looking for ways to apply newer DM techniques that are practical.
Some, but no applied experience.
We have an in house built simulation tool that models our existing business from a forecast perspective, excel is obviously prevalent. We work with Axciom to enhance our exhisting data and do clustering and segmentation. No AI is used at this point.
Our modeling is complex, but we still use a complicated yet unsophisticated technique to manage. I am interested in areas such as principle component analysis to reduce factors to simplify and improve accuracy of the forecasting and analysis efforts
I work in planning and analysis for a publishing consumer marketing division.
