Hack & Chat

Come join NYC Ruby Women for an evening of hacking and chatting on March 19 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. (doors open at 6:30 p.m.)

Our schedule:

- 15 minutes of lightning talks (a great opportunity to polish your GoRuCo talk! They're accepting proposals through March 14.)

We’re looking forward to seeing what you’re working on and what questions you might have that’ll help you move forward.

- 45 minutes of instruction

If there are other things you’d like to teach or things you’d like to learn, post your ideas to the Google Group or send an email using the "Contact Us" link on the Meetup.com page.

- 1 hour of open coding

Bring your project in progress or a new project idea and we’ll hack!

About NYC Ruby Women:

We know how hard it is to get started in a new programming language or find like-minded people to solve problems with. Our goal is to give women and those who self-identify as women a safe and welcoming environment to share ideas, improve coding and speaking skills, and make new friends.

We welcome women Rubyists of all experience levels. If this sounds like something for you, come join us!

To provide a comfortable environment for our members, we expressly forbid recruiters.

I'm learning Ruby on my own; in order to make the next step I need advice of experienced devs.
