Packed with healthy anti-oxidants, chocolate consumed in moderation can boost your mood and support heart health. Learn how to make these truffles with various ganaches and toppings all from scratch with Chef Daniel Kleinhandler, a Michelin star winning Executive Pastry Chef. You are cordially invited to Chef Daniel Kleinhandler's home pastry wonderland to debunk the art and techniques of creating delectable chocolate truffles from start to finish. It's easier than you might think - All you have to do is follow his lead! All you need bring to the class is your curiosity and interest in learning the process of chocolate making. An oven is required and a food processor will be handy. No previous experience is required and all skill levels are welcome! But remember, crafting chocolate truffles from scratch is both art and science. So it's important to follow the recipe and have the ingredients measured out properly so that at the end of the class you'll be ready to sit down to the most delicious dessert. Then it's entirely up to you if you feel like sharing! We will be making two different types of truffles in this master class: Coffee Caramel Chocolate Ganache and Raspberry Ganache, rolled in toppings such as shredded coconuts, cocoa powder, and nuts such as pistachios and hazelnuts. The essential ingredients you will need for this recipe include:60-70% chocolate, granulated sugar, heavy cream, unsalted butter, whole coffee beans, raspberry jam or any other jams with no big chunks, cocoa powder, dried shredded coconut, raw nuts such as pistachios, hazelnuts, or almonds. So that you can follow along with the Chef at a comfortable pace in real time, please make sure you have all of your ingredients measured out in separate bowls or containers for each of the components. Soft pretzels are such a treat in fall, especially along with a cold refreshing beer in hand. Oktoberfest anyone?! This class can also be a whole family affair. The kids are welcome to cook along with Chef Jason, from his Manhattan kitchen. He will teach you the secret to making soft homemade pretzels from scratch. Follow the process of making the dough, which you will do several times throughout class so you'll be an expert pretzel maker in no time! Learn the recipe for three different pretzel flavors: plain, cumin, and raisin. Each will be paired with it's own cheesy dipping sauce, which you will also make along with the chef. Invite your friends and family to join you for class so you can connect virtually and enjoy a fun afternoon creating something from scratch, together. No experience is required! You'll have the opportunity to interact with Chef Jason throughout the class. You will receive an email with the equipment and ingredients list. However, the main ingredients required to participate along with the chef in your own kitchen include: all purpose flour, granulated sugar, salt, active dry yeast, vegetable oil, raisins, cheddar cheese, blue cheese, cumin, onion, lime juice, and lemon juice.
