After a hiatus of a few weeks, we turn the spotlights on again and next week friday they will be shining onto:

Yvonne Najor | co-Founder & Director of Events at Host Committee

Host Committee is a venture-funded Internet startup pioneering a collective-buying experience for the nightlife world. Their social media-powered tech platform allows members to bring their social networks to life with an easy way to throw private parties at great venues with friends and their friends. For any occasion that involves gathering people together – celebrations, birthdays, reunions – Host Committee makes it easy to organize and socialize in style.
Host Committee is a part of Trigger Media, a digital media-focused venture incubator.

Yvonne started her career as a Special Events Curator for a private global dining club. Yvonne worked closely with sponsors and venues to craft unique experiences for new club members in Los Angeles, building towards the club’s successful Los Angeles launch.

Given her passion for creating memorable experiences, Yvonne went on to co-found DBD Social in 2010. DBD was an event planning service that organized social events and parties at top venues throughout New York, focused on offering clients a high-end experience by matching groups of partygoers with their ideal venues.

Yvonne is a graduate of the University of Southern California.

What is NY Tech Happy Hour?

Lori Cheek and Geert DeBecker have been hosting a bi-weekly Friday HappyHour in the Village since early January this year.

The purpose is to have a limited group of people active in the NY tech community come together and have a few hours of pleasant networking at a typical wine bar in the Village.

We always have one rockstar company and person(s) in the spotlight as our special guest, and in view of the limited number if tickets, everyone will feel 'part' of the event.

So forget schlepping to those tech breakfasts at 8am, and come network at a decent hour in the village with your fellow tech rockstars every second friday at 5pm!

-> Focus on a specific person/company to meet and ask all you want!
-> 2x month
-> 5pm-7pm, a glorious end to your week
-> limited number of people, to make sure everyone feels 'part'

-> limited capacity so do not hesitate, get in before it's too late!

Come network in the village with your fellow NY Tech rockstars!
