• Watch me create options trades
Most people think that to create Options trades, they need to be a math genius and use the latest fancy software. But, I’ve discovered that the key is to first create a simple price action bias first. (Up,down, or sideways) When you have qualified setups in front of you each day or week, the options part becomes easy. No fancy software needed. You know what’s better than talking about setting up options trades though ? Doing it ! We can talk about mistakes to avoid, blueprints and other people’s trades all day-- But until you go out and set up your own, none of that matters. That’s exactly what I’m going to do on Tuesday June 19th . Jonah emailed me the other day. He said all this is great. But you have a built-in advantage. You’ve done it before. What if you built a few options trades from scratch and let everyone watch while you did it?” Genius idea. So Tuesday, June 19th at 6:30pm, We will be host a live meet up (Workshop style) We are going to show you how to build an options set up from SCRATCH. We will use 2 or 3 options strategies and show you a road map you follow to create your own options set ups. Part #1: We'll review the 3 major components involved in creating a low risk/high reward options trade. Part #2: We'll review 2 or more examples of options trades that worked (screenshots and $$ results). Part #3: We'll create an entire options trade Live during the meet up while you watch. Plus, I'm going to give you a one hour video lesson that will simplify options trading (even if you are starting out). R.S.V.P to save your seat if you want to see how to create low risk/high reward options trades. Seating limited to 20. See you there!

  • Trading Cheap Stocks for Fun & Profit
Hey Folks, Ryan Nocera & Mitch Firestone from Precision Trading Labs in NYC. In our contacts with students and subscribers, as well as our compadres in the trading room, there's a great interest in trading “cheap stocks.” These have the benefits of not requiring major capital to trade, as well as often undergo major moves that offer great potential profits in a short time. But to be clear, we're talking about inexpensive stocks that are traded on the major exchanges, not penny stocks and pink-sheet symbols. These are just gambling and when you get in a position, it’s often like the old commercial for the Roach Motel, “Roaches check in, but they don't check out.” If you've ever traded an illiquid penny stock you know what we're talking about here. So for us, cheap stocks are symbols typically $3-20, traded on a major exchange, and are liquid. Responding to interest in this subject, we're doing a free webinar Wednesday evening September 14 @ 7pm EDT. Topics to be covered are: · a reliable core strategy to create high probability set-ups · how we screen for cheap stock opportunities · how we react to news involving these symbols · the lens that's often useful in analyzing these stocks · managing trades with these stocks It will be an informative session you'll find beneficial. Furthermore, anyone signing up for it will have access to the webinar recording. Please join us Wednesday evening September 14 @ 7pm EDT. RSVP now by going to: https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/3434279866564058881 See you then. Ryan Nocera & Mitch Firestone http://www.precisiontradinglabs.com/ P.S. You have to register with above link to attend the webinar or receive the recording…just hitting RSVP in meet up isn’t enough. Once you register you will receive a confirmation e-mail from ***** [masked] ****** Thank You.

  • Trading Technically with a Fundamental Edge with Ed Moya
Summary: The everyday battle of making money in the forex market for the retail trader is always becoming harder. They are up against professional traders, high-frequency trading systems, banks, brokers, and hedge funds. Many miss out on the next major move because they have limited experience or time. Volatility has dropped from what we were getting used to a few years ago and recent tight ranges have frustrated some forex traders. Volatility will pick up and it will likely be triggered by the next big picture fundamental event (Thank you Mario Draghi). While hundreds of technical indicators exist, and with the potential to adjust parameters to countless options, the importance of having a rules based technical analysis methodology is important, but likely will have difficulty standing on its own without understanding market sentiment and what some of the triggers are for the algorithmic trading systems. We will go over what are some of my favorite technical indicators/strategies, understanding market behavior and what big picture fundamental indicators/events I follow. Who is Ed Moya? Edward J. Moya is the Chief Technical Strategist at World Wide Markets, New York. Over the past nine years, Mr. Moya has become one of the leading financial trading educators worldwide. Ed Moya has more than 15 years of experience trading and investing in stocks, options, futures and forex. Over the last eight years, he has worked with some of the largest, international forex brokerages and leading educational schools. Mr. Moya began trading technology and bank stocks in the late 1990s and then focused on futures and options trading. In early 2006, Mr. Moya became a broker for Global Forex Trading, where he excelled at educating the firm’s high net-worth clients. Prior to becoming a Market Strategist at FX Solutions, Mr. Moya was the Vice President of Institutional Sales. His analysis included market reactions to geo-political events and monetary policies in U.S., Europe and the Middle East and North Africa region. From[masked] he was the Chief Currency Strategist for Trading Advantage, where he worked on Larry Levin’s team, created the Forex Educational course and ran its forex trading room. His insight into trading stems from working with some of the most highly-regarded research minds in the industry, analyzing order flows from thousands of traders, and a special emphasis on covering geo-political events along with monetary policy decisions and central banker tendencies. Mr. Moya’s trading methodology focuses on interpreting key buy and sell side interests along with trends in the forex market, combined with explaining market reactions to statistical releases and political events in the U.S. and abroad. Mr. Moya has contributed market analysis to major financial television networks, authored numerous trading strategies, provided market commentary for various print media and presented at various seminars, webinars and conferences. He appears frequently on BNN, CNBC, Fox Business, and Bloomberg as a Chief Currency Strategist and quoted in the Wall Street Journal and Washington Post.

  • Are Zero Policy Rates to Blame for Decline in Volatility? with Joseph Trevisani
Summary: The Fed Funds target has been at 0.25 percent for five and a half years. The ECB has been at 1.0 percent or lower, with one eight month exception for five years. Japan of course has the world record for low rates. Next July (2015) the Bank of Japan’s overnight call rate will mark 20 years below 1.0 percent with an average of 0.084 percent since the financial crash. Without making any other argument at all it is evident that policy rates alone cannot secure economic growth. But what effect do they have on actively traded markets? In the past eighteen months (January 2013 through June 2014, a not quite randomly chosen period) the euro has varied about 12 figures against the dollar or about 10 percent. In the previous year and a half (July 2011 through December 2012) the volatility was 25 figures or 21 percent and in the 18 months (January 2010 through June 2011) prior to that the top to bottom range was 30 figures or 26 percent. Central bank rate cycles have always been the best determinant of currency movements. Is there true of volatility as well? We will explore the connection between the zero rate policies of the Federal Reserve and the ECB and decline of volatility in the euro/dollar market. Who is Joseph Trevisani? Joseph Trevisani began his twenty-five year career in the financial markets at Credit Suisse in New York and Singapore where he worked for 12 years as an interbank currency trader and trading desk manager. Returning from Asia he moved to Bermuda and managed the Asian Trading desk and was a proprietary currency trader for The Bank of Bermuda in Hamilton. Mr. Trevisani joined the on-line financial industry in 2001 as one of the founding partners of FX Solutions. Over ten years he served as in turn as Chief Dealer, Head of Institutional Sales and Chief Market Analyst. He joined Worldwide Markets in 2012 as Chief Market Strategist. Mr. Trevisani appears frequently on CNBC in New York as a currency analyst. He has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal, Reuters, Associated Press, Bloomberg, Dow Jones Newswires, the Chicago Tribune, Futures Magazine and other media outlets. He has written economic and currency analysis for Forbes.com, SFO Magazine, FXstreet.com, Forex TV, Active Trader, Aim Bulletin, and has spoken at many conferences and industry events. He has a Bachelor Degree and a Masters in International Politics and Finance from Columbia University in New York City.
