Hi David,

Funny you should ask -- I actually am working on a Ruby library for
ElasticSearch, but it's an object-document mapper rather than a search
plugin like Sunspot. One of the many awesome things about ES is that
it's a much more plausible primary data store for documents than Solr
is. As far as a Sunspot-like library, ES's JSON-based API is highly
intuitive so there's not a strong need for an abstraction layer like
there is in Solr.
