Hello! You are probably wondering what is going on? Isn't this supposed to be a Photography MeetUp? Well, besides my avid interest in film and lenses, my other interests include jazz! If you are so inclined, please feel free to join me at Marjorie Eliot's home in Harlem. And bring your camera to practice your low light skills (venue/artist permitting). Every Sunday for more than a decade, rain or shine, with no vacations, a jazz concert has taken place in the parlor of Marjorie Eliot's home on what she calls the northern tip of Harlem. Her weekly free concerts in the living room of her apartment are legendary in Harlem and an institution for jazz lovers citywide. The concert is FREE, though donations are appreciated. You can find more about Marjorie here: https://harlemonestop.com/organization.php?id=84 Please text me at[masked] if you are running late. See you soon!
Hello! We are meeting at the New York Botanical Garden to shoot and also get experience with macro photography. If you don't have a macro lens, you can buy a reverse ring (compatible with your camera lens mount) that can convert your lens into a macro lens. A table top tripod is strongly suggested for macro photography. You may find details about the garden here: https://www.nybg.org/visit/ Use code 9112 to save 20% on your ticket at nybg.org. If you are running late, please text me at[masked]. Hope to see you there! If you RSVPed, and no longer can make it, please be courteous and change your status - thank you!
