What's more fun on a Saturday than saying Hi to some adoptable cats at NYC's first cat café - Meow Parlour. Followed by dim sum in Chinatown in the morning - hopefully no cats found in there - if you know what I mean =P Then we shall take a spring time stroll across the bridge over to Brooklyn where we will end up at Kick Axe Throwing to learn the basics of a interesting popular sport not so popular in the big city - as well as get some frustration out and exercise in! We shall end our Crazy Caturday with a wonderful cone or scoop of ice cream at Ample Hills Creamery!

ITINERARY:

PART 1 - 11am @ MEOW PARLOUR - 46 Hester St, New York, NY

Purchase a discounted drink and pastry next door with admission then chill with the friendly adoptable cats. Please make your 30min reservation ($6) for 11am (11:30am if 11am is not available) at... https://www.meowparlour.com/reservation/

Cat cafés started in Asia in the 90s due to small apartment sizes and landlords that didn't allow pets in residences. Cat cafés allowed people to interact with cats in a home-like setting without the long term responsibilities. In the past decade, hundreds have sprouted all over the world and the trend has spread throughout Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Europe and the Middle East.

PART 5 - 3:30pm @ AMPLE HILLS CREAMERY - 305 Nevins St, Brooklyn, NY 11215

We opened Ample Hills Creamery in the Spring of 2011, terrified no one would show up, and wholly unprepared for when they did. We were novice entrepreneurs and new parents, at the start of a wild and rocky ride. We dedicated ourselves to making ice cream the old-fashioned way, slowly, by hand. Some of our signature flavors include Salted Crack Caramel, Ooey Gooey Butter Cake, The Munchies and Snap Mallow Pop! These playful, whimsical flavors reflect the creativity of our Amployees, the vibrancy and spirit of our community, and our daily pledge to not take life too seriously – or at least ice cream.
