Enjoy free jazz and after-work drinks at the stylish Empire Hotel Rooftop Lounge

Hey everyone,

Let's meet up for drinks after work at the end of the month, at the
Empire Hotel Rooftop Lounge. It's a gorgeous spot with beautiful views
of NYC, and they have free jazz on Monday nights.

Here's what a reviewer in Citysearch said about the place:

Directly underneath the iconic, retro-style, red neon Empire Hotel
sign stands an 8,000-square-foot-space where beautiful people sip
delicious cocktails and take in the view, which overlooks Columbus
Circle, Lincoln Center and the Hudson River, depending on where you're
standing. The bar's east terrace features lounge chairs and cabanas
(reserved for bottle service) and a small smoking area. The west
terrace is dotted with small tables and has a bar with a retractable
roof, so guests can sit outside during any season. A chocolate-hued
indoor area with banquettes, hassocks, low lighting and a wall of
windows ain't too shabby either.

Hits: Expertly mixed drinks like the Black Cherry Cosmopolitan (from
the Bar at Social Hollywood), and Death By Whisky (from Kobe Club in
Miami), plus the view and far-from the city feel almost justify the
$15-$16 price tags.

Misses: Other than specialty cocktails, the drink menu is very
limited, with only two red wine choices, two white wine choices and
three beers.

The drinks are on the expensive side, jeans are not appropriate, and
the bouncers have a reputation for being obnoxious late at night - BUT
for a Monday evening Happy Hour after work, it should be more relaxed
and a beautiful, iconic place to spend the evening.

Hope to see you there!
