Are you interested in miso making, but afraid to go it alone. I’ve been in touch with Natsuko Yamawaki, a Japanese and Macrobiotic chef, who would be interested in offering us a private class. More info: http://www.natsukoyamawaki.com/
The three hour class would be for 4-6 people. The first two hours would be lecture and miso making and then during the last hour we would sample miso dishes and have time for Q&A. The cost is $50 per person include sampling miso dishes. Also everyone gets miso to take home. One of our NYC Ferments members took this class with her last year and highly recommends her.
She can also introduce amazake since the class will be at a restaurant that makes amazake (amazake is a fermented beverage made from koji which is also used in miso making).
The class will be Sunday, March 23, 2:00-5:00 pm, Williamsburg, Brooklyn (L to Graham Avenue).
Please email me no later than Monday, March 10 at 5pm to let me if you are interested and this date works for you so we can book the class.
If we have more than 6 people we can arrange for a second class.
