From: Makalina
Sent on: Wednesday, May 27, 2009, 9:18 AM
Announcing a new Meetup for The New York City Ukulele Meetup Group!

What: THE NEW YORK UKE FEST

When: May 29,[masked]:00 PM

Price: $20.00 per person

Where: Click the link below to find out!

Meetup Description: There is much excitement in the air and so many of us have reached deep to pull this one off. This year we build the foundation. It will support our future structure. Some are worried about buying tickets online now, since it is too close to the start of the event. That is not a problem. Tickets bought on Paypal even up til Friday morning will be available at the box office when you arrive. On the other hand, if you want to wait to buy your passes at the box office, we want to announce now that we will be maintaining the online pricing, in order to keep this event reasonably affordable. So a 3-day Full Festival Pass will still be $99, even if you buy a t the door. All other prices will also stay at the online level. We hope this brings out those people on the fence that need a bit of a nudge to force themselves to do what they really want to do. Come join us at the Fest!

We are having a true Hawaiian feast! There will be a whole roasted pig-can it be a luau without a pig? Rice, macaroni salad, green salads, chicken, cake, haupia (coconut pudding), shaved ice, beer and soft drinks. We are asking for a $10 contribution for this meal. Or what you feel it is worth. Strictly honor system! Everyone who wants to eat, eats! We are having a massive celebration to thank Pele for looking over the NY Uke Fest this year.
