- Ren Faire Meetup in Upper Manhattan
Attention all fans of Ren Faire, GoT fans, Disney Princesses, Unicorns, Eleves, Knights, Ladies, other magical creatures! Come join us for the Fort Tryron Medieval Festival. Surrounded by the Cloisters museum enjoy joust event, there will be food & drinks (including alcohol) for purchase. Must be 21+ for alcohol, they give a wristband. Costumes are not required, it just makes it more fun! 11 30a-12pm I'll be dressed as Merida from Brave at the entrance to the festival near the wishing well. If you come after that check the comments for the group's locations. 2pm: Group photo, location TBD; photographers wanted! 4pm: We may grab a snack/drink at some of the nearby spots. Each person is responsible for their own costs. Weather permitting, it is an outdoor event! The street will be closed off leading to the park so driving is not recommended. Directions: Take A train to 190th St, Fort Tryron Park. Follow the people to the elevator which will take you to street level at Margaret Corbin drive. It will be crowded as it gets later. The park is a few steps away. Also you can take the M4 bus which will lead you to the park or A train to Dyckman to walk up the hill & enter the park.

Let's go jam to our favorite boy bands while skating! Let's go across the river for a fun day learn about video game development, funny animals in comics and meet the Night King himself! The convention is a three day event but we will go as group on Friday only. Why? Because it's the best day of course!(andalsothecheapestday.) Anywhoo, we'll meet at the 42nd street Port Authority Bus Station (exact location tbd) and hop on the 320 bus for a ten minute ride to the Meadowlands Exposition Center. The fare is $3.95 each way. The event starts at 2 pm but let's meet @1:30pm. Wear something Star Wars-related or your best camera-ready, dresses, suits, hats, headpieces for Kentucky Derby Day (5/4) and Star Wars inspired for "May the 4th" Day while we enjoy Cinco de Mayo (5/5) inspired food/drinks at this Hell's Kitchen watering hole. Each guest pays for their own bill. Some Star Wars-inspired & Derby inspired party favors will be on hand (while supplies last). Dressing up is optional but adds to the fun! Join us for our 1st meetup of 2019! Dress up in your finest Sunday best, with an Easter Bonnet or just take pics of the folks that do. Dress up is optional but makes this more fun!! Depending on the crowds, we can meet on 5th Ave & take pics.
