Manhattanhenge, also called the Manhattan Solstice, is an event during which the setting sun or the rising sun is aligned with the east–west streets of the main street grid of Manhattan, New York City.

The name for the event was coined by famed astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson who is the director of the Hayden Planetarium at the American Museum of Natural History.

The phenomenon creates "a radiant glow of light across Manhattan's brick and steel canyons ... A rare and beautiful sight," Tyson.

So make sure to bring your polarizing filters and let's shoot the sun.
