Hope you've all had a great holiday season and are looking forward to the new year.

I can't think of a better way to start the year than with oysters! In that vein, I'd like to invite you all to an event that we are sponsoring on January 9th to help raise money to rebuild Parsons Seafood's clam & oyster hatchery that was destroyed in super storm Sandy. Parsons Seafood is a local, family-owned business that's provided the region with high-quality shellfish for over 100 years and has been supplying the wonderful oysters and clams for our CSF. The hatchery is an integral part of the Parsons family business -- Dale Parsons Jr., a fifth generation bayman, spawns baby clams and oysters at the facility each spring and foster the juvenile shellfish there until they are large enough for planting in Little Egg Harbor and Great Bay in Tuckerton, NJ.

-The event will be held at Evelyn Drinkery (171 Avenue C, New York, NY 10009)
-A $25 door ticket will get you 1 dozen oysters and one Galliano L' Autentico specialty cocktail
-You can purchase tickets to the event on Brown Paper Tickets ().

We also want to take the time to recognize and support Evelyn Drinkery, where this event will be held. Located on Avenue C in the East Village, Evelyn was also severely affected by Sandy just shortly after they opened.

We hope to see some oyster lovers there and please forward to any of your friends & family that like to support worthy local businesses!
