Please note that we will be following all the latest guidelines to keep everyone safe (Details below). This trip is great for novice and seasoned campers because we supply almost everything you need! We have the ultimate private campsite nestled on the shores of the pristine fresh water Hudson River near New Paltz NY. We supply everything except a sleeping bag or blanket and pillow. (private tents are available rental info below)
Vinecroft Estate has 18 acres of private secluded land on the shores of the Hudson River complete with a private dock, huge fire pit, boathouse, hiking trails, hammocks, horseshoe pits, BBQ’s, picnic tables, lounge chairs and more. There is nothing across the river but trees and nothing near the camp except the main house ( 10 minute walk). You will watch the sunrise each morning and be dazzled by the stars at night. Activities Include: You can do all, nothing or something in between: Hiking, kayaking, swimming, canoeing, winery visits, relaxing by the river, delicious food, happy hours, conversations by the fire, games and more.
You will start your weekend by enjoying the relaxing train ride along the beautiful Hudson River Line to Poughkeepsie. Sit back, relax, read and avoid all the holiday traffic! You may also drive to campsite.

Covid Precautions
We will limit the number of attendees.
You may also drive to meet the group and follow the van in your own car to all the activities for the weekend.
Masks must be worn when traveling in van, in close proximity at campsite and hikes.
All surfaces will be regularly sterilized.
Hand sanitizer will be readily available.

Cost:
Friday – Sunday:
Using our transportation: $290 ($270 for VIP Members)
If your are driving and not coming in our van during the weekend: $260 ($240 VIP members)
Tent rental is $20 if you don’t have one.
If you are driving you may access the campsite anytime after 6pm. Departure on Sunday is the 1:54pm train

The weekend will include:
-2 nights/2 days at Vincroft Estate Private Campsite.
-All Meals carefully and deliciously grilled to perfection. Fish, meat, salads, veggies, desserts Breakfast (Sat/Sun, Dinner (Fri/Sat). (menu below) Fresh bottled water is available all weekend.
-Soft drinks and adult beverages
-Snacks
-Hiking, kayaking, wineries, guides, park fees and donations, equipment use, taxes, tips (Hikes will be moderate)
-Transportation from train station to all attractions
-We have a limited number of Private Tents to rent ($20 additional) Payable separately.

Not Included: Lunch,winery fee’s, train fare
This trip is perfect for those who have never camped before.
All you need to bring: sleeping bag or blanket, pillow, sunblock, hiking shoes or sturdy sneakers, bug spray, bathing suit, towel, flashlight, change of clothes.

We will follow strict Covid Guidelines for this event.
The only better pizza is Pizza in the Park! Join us in the Arthur Ross Pinetum for a casual afternoon of distanced socializing and a fresh hot pizza from Pizza Pete’s You will not only be supporting each other but also NYSN and the restaurant! We will also be doing some fun ice breaker games during the afternoon.

How it works:
Register below and we will send you all the info you need to know about who and where to meet the group.
We will send you a note where you may choose from select toppings.
We will have a section of the Pinetum with the picnic tables set aside for the group.
Once everyone is there we will have pies delivered to our spot and served with extra precautions.

Covid 19 Protocols:
Please do not come if you have been exposed. You may cancel up to one week for a refund. Within one week you will be given a credit to use for selected events.
We will take temperatures when you arrive.
The event is limited to 16 people so there is space for everyone to be safe.
Face masks must be worn while within close proximity.

Can I come alone? Yes, 98% of those attending this event normally register on their own. You welcome to bring as many non member guests, friends & co workers as you’d like, just make sure to register for the number of people that you want below.

Do I need a ticket? For paid events: It is always best to print out the ticket confirmation or save it on your devices as proof of purchase especially if you have purchased your ticket on the same day as the event.

How will I find the group? We will send you a confirmation email with exact locations, contact info and names of those who are hosting the event when you register. We will send follow up emails as we get closer, usually the night before or morning of.

Ages: 21+ Most of our events attract 20’s -40’s although some events can skew younger or older (50’s) depending on the event.

Who Comes to These?: Our activities attract NY Professionals from all backgrounds and professions who are looking to expand their social circles. You will also find others who are looking to learn something, network for business, try something they have never done before or enjoy something they love doing but can’t get their friends to do. There may also be some people looking to find that someone special who share a passion for the same activities (but don’t make this the sole reason you come out).

What if the weather impacts the event? We will determine if the event will happen about 24 hours prior to the start. You will be notified as soon as we know. We usually send updates as well.

This event is nonrefundable unless the event is canceled or rescheduled.

Start off your weekend exploring the newest addition to New York City, PIER 26! After almost a decade of being closed off to the public, Pier 26 is finally open! With a design inspired by the historical Hudson River landscape and ecology, the new 2.5 acre pier invites exploration, relaxation, and play with incomparable views.
We will start our walking tour on 14th Street, learn about the Hudson River Park, and make our way to Pier 26 to enjoy the stunning views!

How It Works:
We will meet on 14th Street and 8th Avenue, right outside the A/C/E or L train station.
Be prepared for walking; we will explore Hudson River Park as we make our way to Pier 26.
Wear a sweater as we will be right by the river so expect a light breeze.
The tour will end at Pier 26 and you will have time to enjoy the beautiful views/scenery.

Our Vegetable Chili is a staple dish on many of our group trips/weekends. It’s healthy, delicious and easy to make. Join us for a fun hour of conversation and demonstration as we make a batch of our favorite meal. From start to finish the dish will take you 45 minutes plus you can freeze it for future meals! You can just watch and take notes or get the ingredients and cook along with Dave.
Dave has studied at Peter Kumps and The New School programs for Culinary Arts and has been a Sioux Chef for over 100 professional cooking classes.

How it works:

You can watch and take notes of go through step by step with Dave as you prepare in your home.
Class time 1 hour

If you decide to prepare at Home you will need 1 large pot or Dutch Oven, knives for chopping and cutting.

Ingredients:
2 tablespoons vegetable, canola or olive oil
1 large yellow onion chopped
1 red bell pepper diced
3 cloves of garlic finely chopped
1 medium zucchini diced
1 can of corn or 2 cups of frozen corn kernels
1 1/2 pounds of mushrooms (white button, portobello or crimini) diced
1 tablespoon chili powder or hot sauce
1 tablespoon ground cumin
1 1/4 teaspoons salt
1 28 ounce can of diced tomatoes
1 can red or black beans
1 (15-ounce) can tomato sauce
Oregano
Thyme

What do I need?
A device with a camera and microphone. A kitchen with stove or burners, pots, knives.

How do I participate?
When you register we will send you a code to join or Zoom meeting and all the information you will need to participate.

Can I attend alone?
Right now 99.9% of those participating attend alone.

How Many are expected?
Most of our virtual events have 10 to 20 participants unless otherwise specified.

Who participates in these?
The demographics of our online events are varied unless we have a specific criteria listed. For the most part there are all ages and ethnicities. Realistically, this should not matter to you. If there is an event that you would like to do, then do it! It is totally different than physically being stuck at something you are not enjoying. You can “click out” at any time. If you are unhappy with the experience we will refund your fee.

Dress Code:
Pajamas & t-shirts are acceptable (just, please be wearing clothes!). Also we all realize that our beards are growing and our hair looks like hell. (Besides most computer cameras are not that clear anyway)
