Fire Island Mid Week Group Share Beach House

There are no cars allowed on this island of bungalows, quaint villages, fun bars, miles of uncrowded beaches and rolling sand dunes. Don’t miss this awesome opportunity to spend the weekend out of the city with other fun members of New York Social Network.

How do I get there?
-You can drive to Bayshore and take ferry to Fire Island
-Take Long Island Rail Road to Bayshore, 5 minute cab ride to ferry dock, then ferry to island

What to expect?
-a group of 8-10 mellow New York Social Network members and friends. Male/female 30’s, 40’s, couples friendly
Will I feel comfortable coming alone? Yes! most all of those coming will be coming alone. These weekends are some of the best opportunities to meet others in a fun, quality and casual setting. Everyone is connected through the group.
What to do: relax on the beach, hike, bike ride, tennis, restaurants & bars, live music, BBQ, group dinners, kayak, etc.
What to bring:
-bathing suite, sunblock, beach towel
-There are stores and shops in village for snacks
The house features:
2 levels with 2,000 sq. ft. of outside decking, 3 shared bedrooms, 2 single rooms, two full baths and one-half bathroom, 4 houses from the bay (great for kayaking) and 100 yards to the ocean. All modern and newly renovated with large bright open air spaces. WIFI is available.

A Taste Of Little Italy Outdoor Food Crawl/Tour

EVENT DESCRIPTION: Italian meatballs, Calamari, and a walk around Little Italy are the best way to enjoy a great meal plus learn a little about one of NYC’s iconic neighborhoods. Join NYSN Founder Dave Cervini for a special afternoon where we will sample some of the best foods from the best restaurants. Along the way Dave will also share the rich history of the area.
What to expect:

  • Space is limited to 10.
  • The group will meet outside at Vincent’s Original at 119 Hester Street
  • At least 7 restaurants will be sampled.
  • Food will be sampled outside on single serving paper plates. You will likely be standing for most samplings.

Covid 19 Protocols: Fully Vaccinated & Covid Negative
We ask for your cooperation and understanding during this unusual time. Our guidelines are designed so that we can continue bringing together as many people as safely as possible. If you do not agree with the guidelines we have set below you may wish to consider another event.
This event is open to fully vaccinated members as well as unvaccinated members who can show proof of a Covid negative test within 48 hours of the event. This must be a test administered by a testing site or medical professional. (Not a home test)If you have not been vaccinated and do not have test results, please do not register. If this event is outdoors facemask masks will be optional but required while in close proximity to others. Please be respectful of others

What if it is too cold or snowy?: We will make a final decision the morning of the event in case there is questionable weather. There is no doubt that it will be cold so you will need to dress for the weather. Refunds or credit will be given in case the event is canceled or postponed.

Can I come alone? Yes, 98% of those attending this event normally register on their own. You welcome to bring as many non member guests, friends & co workers as you’d like, just make sure to register for the number of people that you want below. Our staff will be ready to greet you and introduce you to others whether you are on your own or with guests.

Do I need a ticket? It is always best to print out the ticket confirmation or save it on your devices as proof of purchase especially if you have purchased your ticket on the same day as the event.

Dress Code: Dress for the weather we will be outside the entire time.

Ages: 21+ Most of our events attract 20’s -40’s although some events can skew younger or older (50’s) depending on the event. Some events are clearly age specific as indicated. If this is an issue for you contact Dave at the address below and we can usually give you a very accurate idea of what to expect.

What if the weather impacts the event? We will determine if the event will happen about 24 hours prior to the start. You will be notified as soon as we know. We usually send updates as well. Outdoor Group Dinner – Upper West Side

Let’s enjoy a good meal and great conversations at Upper West Side legend, Good Enough to Eat. We have 16 seats reserved in the outdoor space. Pay as you go/separate checks.

How it works:

  • We will reserve a table for 16 in the outdoor seating area.
  • Your host will be on hand to welcome you
  • Once all have checked in, the group will be seated for dinner.
  • Order anything you wish off the menu and pay as you go. Separate checks–no problem!
  • We are asking for a $10 donation that will go towards the host’s food and drink.
  • In case of rain those wishing to dine indoors will have the opportunity to do so.

However, we do ask that participants act in a responsible manner and do not attend if feeling ill, showing symptoms or have been recently exposed. Mask wearing is optional unless the venue or city has mandated that. Everyone should respect the comfort levels of others as we transition into this next phase of socializing in the Covid era.

This event is nonrefundable. If you have tested positive for Covid and cannot attend, we will do our best to provide you with credits to select future events with a copy of your positive test results. Please note that due to the cost involved in some activities credits may not be used for the event you missed.

Recommended ages: 21+. The main demographic will be 30s and 40s but there will be many 20s and even 50s so those folks will feel right at home.

Can I come alone? Yes, most guests do! It’s a great way to meet new people.

Hudson Valley Moderate Hike, Fun Day & BBQ Day Trip

Cost: $130 includes: transportation to and from the train station to all activities, hiking fees, guide fees, BBQ lunch (we will accommodate your food needs), all taxes and tips.

Take a breather from the city and spend a day in the beautiful Hudson Valley. We have a marvelous adventure planned that has a little something for everyone. You will start the day hiking scenic trails while joining members of our overnight camping trip for more outdoor fun. We will visit the grounds of the NYSN private campsite at the Vinecroft Estate in Esopus, NY and venture to a hard cider orchard.

What to expect:

  • You may take Metro-North or drive to meet the group in Poughkeepsie, NY. From there your guide will pick you up in our van and bring you to an easy Level 4/5 hike (out of 10 difficulty).
  • Next, we will head to the NYSN private riverside estate for a BBQ lunch with the weekend campers outside at the campsite.
  • After lunch we’ll socialize, play games and hike the property. You’re welcome to take out one of our kayaks or go swimming in the river. A place to change and a shower are available.
  • Later in the afternoon we will head to a local hard cider orchard for

socializing and samples.

  • You will be brought back to the Poughkeepsie train station in time for the

5:50 pm Metro-North train back to the city.

Menu: We are happy to accommodate your food preferences—just let us know!

The basic menu will include hamburgers, beef hot dogs, grilled chicken, potato, macaroni salads, coleslaw and chips. Water and soft drinks will also be on deck.
