From: Dave
Sent on: Saturday, February 13, 2010 10:40 PM
Announcing a new Meetup for The New York Metro Rock Climbing Meetup Group (NYC, NJ,CT)!

What: Spacial Spring Ski Trip -- Cannon Blast 2

When: Thursday, March 25,[masked]:30 PM

Where: (A location has not been chosen yet.)

Please note!! This trip is a private trip being opened up to our Meetup group by Dave (asst organizer). It's not sponsored or associated with this meetup group in any way. But if some people are psyched, why not?

Spend >.>another<< a 3 day weekend in New Hampshire working your snow sports of choice at Cannon Mountain! The Cannon Mountain region offers superb skiing, boarding, cross-country skiing, snow shoeing as well as some of the best backcountry skiing in the east. I'll be focusing on backcountry skiing. Cannon is amazing, and almost unknown in NY. Experience an amazing, old school, no-nonsense mountain that's all about the skiing. Cannon?s energy is amplified by the most spectacular views of any ski area in the east. If you hate Hunter, you'll love Cannon (and vice versa). Sign up for the best spring skiing in New England!

We?ll leave Thursday evening and arrive at a rustic, lodge-like house in S. Newbury VT returning Sunday night. Accommodations include 6 single beds, 2 double/queen beds and 2 couches in large sleeping lofts. Pillows and cases are provided, but bring your sleeping bag and towels.

Beds are $75 if we get 8 or more, otherwise $85. Couches are $65, but only after beds are filled. I can provide transportation for 5 or 6 people + gear from TRC.
