• Auckland Python Presentation

    AUT, Room WZ416

The Auckland members of the New Zealand Python Users Group meet every month. You're very welcome to attend. We have a healthy mix of Python users. Students, academics, hobbyists, industry professionals, and many completely new to Python. During these meetups, we have two presentations by members of the group about their Python endeavours. At least one of the presentations should be aimed at a beginner level, so don't worry if you are not too familiar with Python. We invite you to bring a nametag from a conference or other event you have attended, so we can feel like we know you a little already. Should you choose to self-identify, we have coloured stickers by the door as you enter that show at a glance your level of Python experience. Feel free to bring any questions you have, or any projects you are working on, you’ll find an expert willing to help. OTOH if you *are* that expert, please let the organisers know, and you will be assured of many inspiring conversations through the evening. The doors open at 6:30pm, and the first presentation starts at 6:45pm. Everything should be wrapped up by 8:30pm. See you there! If you would like to present at a future meetup, fill out this google form and we will schedule you in https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSc9EknPmnQP4SsXE4_JkDttmnh5ZbOM-A2vrNpy_0qnqnmd4g/viewform?usp=sf_link We follow the NZPUG code of conduct to create an inclusive friendly environment. https://python.nz/Page/42341 As this event occurs after a sociable dinner time, some of us stay on in the CBD after work, and grab a bite to eat before the meetup starts. Expect to see someone from the meetup at the Revive Cafe on Lorne Street from about 5:30pm - 6:15pm, and drop the organisers a line if you have another eating establishment you’d like us to mention here.
